Lens types in plain words

The frame is half of the glasses. The other half determines how well you see and how quickly your eyes get tired.

Single Vision

The simplest option: a single optical power across the whole lens. Suits you when you need to see either far away or up close — but not both at once.

Lens prices depend on the prescription: strong diopters need thinner material. The optometrist gives the exact amount after the measurement.

How to measure at home

You'll need a mirror, a ruler, and any bank card. Three minutes and you'll know your measurements.

Face Width

Hold the card against your cheek under your eye. If it's about equal to the distance from your nose to your ear, you need medium-width frames, 135–140 mm.

Pupillary distance

Stand in front of a mirror at arm's length. Hold a ruler to your eyebrows and measure from the center of one pupil to the center of the other. It's usually 58–66 mm.

Sizes of your old frame

On the inside of the temple there are three numbers, for example 52▫18-140: lens width, bridge, temple length. If your old frame fit well, look for the same numbers.

Fit Check

A properly fitted frame doesn't press behind the ears, doesn't slide down when you lean forward, and doesn't touch your eyelashes. The top of the frame should run parallel to your eyebrow line.

An ophthalmologist's prescription form looks intimidating, but it really only has a few values.

The values in the table are a sample filled-in form, not anyone's real prescription.

From there it's simple

Send a photo of your prescription in messenger along with the frame model you liked.
The optometrist checks whether the chosen lens will fit this frame: strong prescriptions need a narrower lens opening.
We state the final price — frame plus lenses — and the production time.
We fit ready-made glasses to your face: heating the temples, adjusting the angle, nose pads. This is included in the price.
If something feels tight after a week, come by — we'll adjust it again for free.

Warranty and fitting

Glasses are worn every day, so what matters most starts after the checkout.

Manufacturer's warranty

A factory defect in the frame or lens coating means replacement with a new model. Terms and conditions depend on the brand — we state them before payment.

Free fitting

Temples loosened, nose pads shifted, the frame started rubbing — come by anytime, we'll adjust it free of charge, no appointment needed.

Lens exchange

If your prescription changed during production or the lens type didn't fit, we'll swap in a different one into the same frame — you only pay the difference.
