Discounts and deductible

Two ways to pay less — and what each one costs

A discount lowers the payment and takes nothing away. A deductible also lowers the payment, but you cover part of the damage yourself. The difference is shown on the slider below.

For a claim-free record

A year without at-fault claims lowers your coefficient. Several years in a row give the biggest effect.

For renewal

Renew your policy with us — the rate is lower than starting from scratch. Your data is already verified.

For annual payment

One annual payment instead of monthly installments — cheaper overall than paying in installments.

For a second policy

A second car in the family, or MTPL together with CASCO, is issued at a combined rate.

Deductible: how much you save and what you pay with

Example for CASCO with a sum insured of 900,000 UAH and an annual premium of 12,400 UAH. The claim in this example is 40,000 UAH.

Your share of the damage0 UAH
Insurance payout40 000 UAH
Policy payment12 400 UAH

Without a deductible, the insurer covers the damage in full, but the policy costs the most.

Is a deductible the same as a discount?

No. A discount simply lowers the payment. A deductible is the amount you pay yourself with every claim, and the policy gets cheaper in exchange for that arrangement. If the damage is less than the deductible, there’s no payout at all.

Which deductible to choose if the car is in the city every day?

Minor scratches and scuffed bumpers happen most often in the city, and they're exactly what falls short of a large deductible. For everyday city driving, 0.5–1% makes more sense, while 5% is worth it when you're insuring against major damage, not scratches.

Does the no-claims discount disappear after one payout?

It doesn’t disappear completely, but your rating worsens, and the next policy costs more. That’s why for minor damage it’s sometimes cheaper to repair it yourself — we calculate both options before filing a claim.

Can you change the deductible while the policy is active?

During the term — no, it's fixed in the contract. You can change it at renewal: before the new term we show you a quote with several deductible options, and you choose.

Are discounts calculated the same way for MTPL and CASCO?

No. MTPL rates and coefficients are regulated, so there’s less room for discounts. CASCO has more variables: deductible, list of risks, payment method, number of cars — which is why the difference in the final price is more noticeable.
